Parish Council Meetings:
The next Parish Council public meeting will be held on

in the Jubilee Hall, Lower Street, Salhouse.
There is an extraordinary meeting being held on
Monday 5 October 2026 at 7:00pm
in the Jubilee Hall, Lower Street, Salhouse.
Anyone is welcome to attend the meetings and a short period of time is given for the public to air their views on matters directly related to the Parish Council.

What We Do
The Parish Council is responsible for:

general maintenance around the village

Norfolk County Council proposes to make a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (the “Order”) (8783-5250-8928-C283) affecting C283 Salhouse Road from 207 metres northeast of its junction with Eva Road for 40 metres north-eastwards (the “Road”) in the Parish of Rackheath to facilitate rail inspection works, the Road will be temporarily closed (except for pedestrian access) for the duration of the works/period the closure is necessary which is anticipated to be between 22:00 and 06:00 from 28th to 29th September 2026, but may continue to be closed/restricted until the 10th November 2026 where the closure is still required beyond the anticipated dates.
Alternative route is via: C283 Salhouse Road, A1270 Broadland Northway, C874 Thorpe End Drive/ Reeves Corner, C283 Norwich Road, C284 Honeycombe Road (Great and Little Plumstead, Salhouse, Rackheath).
The works promoter for this restriction/closure is: Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd.
Vehicular access will be permitted to a final destination in the Road where signs indicating such access is possible and permitted are in place.

Planning Application - Norfolk County Council
FUL/2026/0019 - Salhouse C of E Primary School, Cheyney Avenue, Salhouse, Norwich, NR13 6RJ - Proposed standalone building to provide 2no. classrooms, with associated parking expansion, air source heat pumps, relocation of fencing/gate within the site to create new secure line, new sustainable drainage features, alterations to the hard and soft landscaping and associated works.
