Salhouse Parish Council is currently reviewing the Neighbourhood Plan that was adopted in 2017. This is your chance to contribute to the planning and development of Salhouse over the coming years.

A Neighbourhood Plan is a community-led document that helps guide future development in the parish. It covers a wide range of issues including land use, housing, facilities, and infrastructure, providing policies that will shape how the village develops for the next two decades. Regular reviews ensure that the plan reflects the evolving needs and aspirations of the community.

2025 Survey Results

In October 2025, we carried out a household survey. The feedback we received will be used to inform the Parish Council's review of the current Neighbourhood Plan and to help draft new policies. We thank everyone who took part in the survey.

Salhouse Survey

Thank you to everyone who took the time to complete the Salhouse Survey — we’re delighted with the response, 29% of households taking part.  Your feedback will help shape the drafting of the new Salhouse Neighbourhood Plan. Click here to see the full survey results.

Data Profile

To guide the drafting of the Neighbourhood Plan a Data Profile has been written containing key facts about Salhouse — its planning context, housing, community facilities, environment, transport, and population. It provides up-to-date evidence from Census data, local policies and maps to help guide future development and protect what makes Salhouse special. Click here to read the Salhouse Data Profile (September 2025). (Data Profile Executive Summary).

Next Steps

With the help of expert consultants, the Parish Council is now reviewing the survey findings and will draft additional policies to be considered. A second round of consultation will take place in early 2026 to gather further feedback on these new proposals.

If you have any questions, or would like to know more, please contact Salhouse Parish Council.
