Salhouse Village Litter Pick

On Saturday 26th April 2025 10 parishioners met at the recreation ground to carry out a litter pick around the Parish as part of the Big Broadland Litter Pick. A total of 10 bags of rubbish was collected from all over the village. This is good, but also not so good that our lovely village has this amount of litter when rubbish bins are provided.
​
A huge thank you to all of the volunteers who gave up their time to support this initiative!
​
As a result of this community litter pick, Salhouse Parish Council was awarded £20 for taking part, and also successful in the £200 prize draw! So the Parish have secured a total of £220 to be spent in our community!

Allotments
​
Unfortunately at this time the Parish Council is not able to offer allotments.
The Parish Council itself does not own any land and so has been in communications with local landowners to try and find an area of land which may be able to be used for allotments, but at this time this has been unsuccessful.
If the Parish Council becomes aware of some land being made available this may be revisited.
